Welcome to my blog! this is something I have been wanting to do for a long time! I even approached a local newspaper several years ago and asked if I could be one of their bloggers - they said no, since I wanted to write a blog about being a Latina here in the Capital Region. They said it was too broad of a topic for one Latina to cover... LOL...
So, here I am, using my own website to write my own blog about a broad range of topics, including #SoyLatina!
I have always loved writing, I used to keep journals, write poems, and just write... but life happens, someone read my journal and I burned it to senizas. I have been sharing my #VeganMamaAdventures in my Facebook page, so I thought it was only fitting to use that as a name for my blog. I also have my #DateFail stories, my #SoyLatina experiences, my #BreastCancerJourney and more. Why do we have to limit ourselves to writing about one specific topic only?
Writing is therapeutic, some people garden (I love weeds growing in my yard so), or take a hobby like sawing (my mom makes beautiful quilts, I know how to use a needle and thread to fix a hole in my sock)... so writing it is for me.
So why blog now, well at 48 yrs. young, I find myself having some sort of melt down - not over having just been divorced or the breast cancer, but over a broken heart and I have come undone. My heart is broken over a boy - like that first heart break you had when you when in High School and you though you would die from the heart ache (remember?), except, I am not in HS anymore... ugh
My heart has traveled to my brain and I have lost all common sense. I have been hanging out in my bed, in my bedroom, with my cats and dogs. I can't stand myself at the moment so I decided to write about it all - to share my experiences and hope to help someone else who may be having to reinvent her/himself at 48 yrs. young.
Life is a funny journey and I personally have always enjoyed and learned from other's experiences. Maybe someone will relate to my experience and not feel alone.
Asi que vengo a escribir, acerca de mi, de mi vida, para desahogarme y seguir en esta aventura que es mi vida.
Finally got to wear this jumpsuit outfit the other night to a fundraiser event. My new glasses - I figured re-inventing myself also should include a new look! :-)
